My people will take root

Isaiah 27:6
"The time is coming when my people will take root. Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole earth with her fruit!"
MarkTwain comments on his trip to the land in 1867
“ ... desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds-a silent mournful expanse....A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action....We never saw a human being on the whole route....There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of the worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”-1867 (Quoted in Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad. London: 1881)
Today it looks like this. Isaiah predicted this over 2700 years ago.

Agriculture in Israel is a highly developed industry: Israel is a major exporter of fresh produce and a world-leader in agricultural technologies despite the fact that the geography of Israel is not naturally conducive to agriculture.
Israel is one of the world's leading fresh citrus producers and exporters.
Israel produces vast quantities of flowers for export. Flower exports in 2000 exceeded $50 million. It has become a major player in the global floral industry, especially as a supplier of traditional European flowers during the winter months. (Source)
