Preterism holds that the contents of Revelation constitute a prophecy of events that were fulfilled in the 1st century.
Preterists believe the dating of the book of Revelation is of vital importance and that it was written before the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Therefore, Preterism contends that The Great Tribulation occurred with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
In Matthew 24 Jesus states
21“For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.”

Worse things than 70 AD have happened to the Jews since 70 AD.
In Matthew 24 Jesus states

That didn’t happen in 70 AD either.
Conclusion, either Jesus is lying or Preterism is false.
